Storyboards
These are our final storyboards that were created before filming so we knew what we were doing when we went out to film to make it easier for us and all of the actors.
Final Film Name

The acronym of our film is "Cad" which again stands for classified and dangerous. The reason we chose to use this was because the meaning of cad is a dishonorable man, this links within our film because the man in this situation was the protector because he is a corrupt, government agent that is protecting the girls from the 2 agents. We also chose to use white on black font, again because this is a typical action adventure genre, another reason we chose this was because this is again a typical convention of our chosen genre.

Music Research
- Army Angels
- Full Nexus
- On The Trigger
- Codename
- Make A Run For It
- Hunted
- No Stone Unturned
- Target Spotted
The track that we used for our final piece was selected from the list above and was called Army Angels, it was the one that was also fast paced but we wanted to match with the trailer. The reason that I chose the music listed above was because we wanted music that was quick paced and also had a good beat to it so we could match our action with the music in our trailer. The reason that we chose the music with the fast paced was because it would build the tension and suspense for the audience so they could guess what would happen next. It would also match the action for our trailer because it would be fast paced action and editing. The reason we tried to complete this was because both of these were typical convention for action films, so we tried to match this as much as possible to try and add realism for the audience.

Connotation of Incognito
Incognito means to be hidden or to be in disguise. This fits with our genre of film as we are doing crime and the main character is in hiding. The use of the gun sight as the O in incognito shows our other genre action, by using the gun sight it is showing iconography following a convention of action films, which is weapons. Also the connotation of the image suggests that someone is using the sight to target someone, this reflects our chosen narrative of our film trailer.

We also made the "O" in Incognito move around the screen before finally locking onto the word. We chose to do this because this can then represent the letter as a sniper sight with the idea of someone being targeted by a certain person or group. This helps us because is also reflects the genre, narrative and ideas of the films we will be creating. Along with this we also plan to add sound effects with the sound of a loading gun and a gun being fired in the background. We chose this because it is used to show iconography of weapons and danger within the crime and thriller genre that we will be creating.

Risk Assessment
Risk Assessment For Filming:
This is the risk assessment that we have created for our own trailer. In this we have included the possible risks that could occur while filming as well as listing how it can be prevented. After we have wrote about these 2 we have also included the severity of the risk. A small hazard is one that if it happens it won't cause a big injury whereas a medium risk will cause some form of injury or damage but not that big of one whereas a big hazard will cause a big injury for the person involved. To make sure that none of these risks happen we will ensure that we are carefful when filming all of our shots and that we also take care of any media equipment that we are using in order to ensure that it doesn't get lost or stolen.

Costumes/Props
Costumes:
In the action and crime genres the costumes that the government agents wear are usually suits. We got this idea from the film "Men In Black" where the main characters are dressed in suits. The suits will give the characters a sense of power and authority and will also signal to the audience that these characters are the main ones and have the most power out of them all. The agents usually wear glasses to hide their identity, and this will relate to the mystery side of our film. This is important because if they are working for the government their mission will be secret and the glasses help to build the tension for the audience.
The costumes that we have been looking for the "Protector" are just casual, "everyday clothes" but however they will also need to show that they have some form of power, if they do turn out to be the hero of the film, otherwise the audience could get confused. This can be easily achieved for our film because whoever plays this role could just wear ordinary jeans. The protector could also wear a big coat in the film because it could be used to hide weapons or it could be used to make the character look strong and powerful.
Props:
The main props that we are going to use in our film are weapons. The agents and the protector would be the ones with the guns in our film, this is because these would be crucial in order for them to protect themselves. The weapons also show that the agents have power and authority over the other characters if they have weapons and the others don't. Earpieces for the agents could also be used as these could also be used to receive information from the government about their secret mission. We again got this idea from the film "Men In Black".
Another prop that would be crucial in our film is a usb memory stick. This is important because this is part of the reason the whole chase started. It all started from a member of the government dropping the memory stick when it has crucial, important information on it. This memory stick plays an important part in our film because if it get's into the wrong hands it could cause trouble. The memory stick would also be black because this is a typical government colour and it also won't have any writing on it, this could also emphasise the mystery part of our film.

Government Agents
Stereotypical government agents in the action and crime genre would usually be dressed in suits. This is because it shows that they have authority and power over the over characters in the film. This can be emphasised when the Agents are running after the girl through all the busy streets and shopping centers. The agents would also all be male and we aim to have 2 agents in our film. Stereotypically the agents are usually aged between 26 and 32, however this may change in our film because of the low budget that we have as a company. The agents would also usually go around in pairs when dealing with danger so if one ever get's into trouble then the other one is there to help and assist them. They would also stand out in a crowd if they were in a pair.
Male Characters
The films we have researched to gain ideas from for our own film were "Taken" and "The Bourne Identity" In these films that we have used there is always some sort of protector. These are usually male and their main job would be to protect someone or an item of some sort in the film. If they are protecting a character then they would usually be a female because they are seen as having less power than male characters. The protector could also become some sort of hero towards the end of the film, this could range from them saving the female or protecting the item throughout the whole film. They would also be involved in fighting scenes because they would risk themselves in order to save the female. these would also have some form of weapon that is used in the film at some point and they would also be good at handling their weapon. the age of the protector is usually aged between 25 and 40. However in our film this may change because of the restricted budget that we have compared to all of the big Hollywood films and this would make it hard to find an exact match for this character.
Locations
The locations that we have chosen for our film are typical conventions for the crime and action genre. We have chosen to use the busy shopping centers and streets act as a good place to hide for the main character. This is also good for the audience because it is realistic because these locations are used in everyday life. We have chosen to use the escalators in the shopping centers because we would also be able to use the "near miss" situations because as one person is about to use the lift, the agents could be close to catching them and could miss out because of the lift doors shutting, meaning the character would then be able to get away from them for a short amount of time. Another reason we have chosen these locations is because they are usually busy with a lot of people and this would then give the characters more places to hide when they are running. This builds up tension for the audience because they don't know what will happen or if the characters will be spotted. The lighting is usually high key, with a lot of natural lighting being used. The shopping center will be a good place to get this convention as they are well lit. However there is also some low key lighting used in the action and crime genres. We aim to include this in our film by filming in a dark alleyway at night which would again build suspense and tension for the audience because they won't know what to expect from the film. Multi Story car parks are also used in these genres because there are again many places to hide, which is good because it makes the audience think of what could happen next. These are also a good place to use for car chases or a secret location and where the agents can plan a chase on the individual.
The main location where our film is going to be set is Cambridge. We have chosen this location because it has all the locations that we need to film in. These include a busy shopping centre (The Grafton), busy public streets with plenty of spaces to hide, multi storey car parks, back alleys and main roads. With all of these together it is the perfect place for us to film.

Fonts/Texts
For the crime and action genre most of the fonts and texts used in the title are in bold and are wrote in all block capitals. Some of the films also have red coloured writing, this is used to connote danger and also signifies blood will be in the film. This is to show the audience the genre. The words used in the title are also short, memorable words such as "Taken" and "Safe". The names of the main actors are also included just above the name of the film, this would be a USP because some people would go watch the film because they like the actors who are involved. Each of the films also have a recognizable logo, this would be good for the film because if it is a sequel then people will know the film by the logo. An example of a film that has a recognizable logo would be "Skyfall". The audience would recognize the 007 logo with the gun and this would then tell them that this film is part of the James Bond series. The Bourne Identitiy is also another film with a logo that the audience would recognize, for this film it would be the sniper scope that is acting as a target on the letter "o". The Men in Black logo is also another film with the logo. For this one it would be the 2 main actors that are standing in the lettering, in the dark suits holding guns.

Maslow's Theory
Abraham Maslow was responsible for creating the theory called Hierarchy of Needs. It was created in the 1950's in America and it is now valid for understanding human motivation, management training and personal needs and development. The theory is usually designed into a pyramid shape design and the theory contained 5 stages and what he said was that the things that people needed the most and could survive on with just these were at the bottom then as the hierarchy got further up he then said that if people had these, they were then extras and people that had the things in the middle would then be motivated to get further up the chart, meaning they will become more successful.

Stuart Hall's Theories
Preferred Reading Theory:
This is where the audience will fully accept what the film and will think what the producers want them to think. This will make it more realistic for the reader if they read it the way they're meant to.
Negotiated Reading Theory:
This is where the reader will negotiate with the film or program. This means they will partly accept what the producers want them to think but they will also have their own opinions on it and this is why they won't fully accept it.
Oppositional Reading Theory:
This is when the audience will have totally opposite views of the moving image and therefore will not even consider accepting it, this could either be good or bad for the producers.
Encoding/Decoding Theory:
This is another type of theory that Stuart Hall created is the encoding and decoding theory. This theory focuses on the ways in which messages created in the media are consumed by the public. Stuart Hall said that the meaning of the of the text is not created by the sender, another thing he said that what each text means can be found in between the reader and producer.
